Together, Lexa Sport and Integrity are developing a complete line of high-performance women’s volleyball apparel from the measurements and threads up.
Women’s Gear Has to Fit Women
It sounds obvious: women’s uniforms should be designed for women.
Yet much of the industry still begins with a men’s garment. The pattern is reduced, a few dimensions are adjusted, and the finished product is labeled a women’s fit.
But a women’s volleyball jersey is not a smaller men’s jersey.
Women’s bodies require different proportions through the shoulders, chest, waist, and hips. Shorts need intentional decisions about rise, coverage, inseam, compression, waistband construction, and leg opening.
Volleyball makes those details even more important. The uniform must move naturally through serving, jumping, blocking, diving, rotating, and landing. It needs to stay in place without restricting the athlete or becoming a distraction.
If a player has to pull down her jersey, adjust her shorts, fight a rolling waistband, or worry about coverage, the uniform has failed.
Comfort isn’t cosmetic. It’s a performance feature.
Built With Athletes, Not Merely for Them
We aren’t going to sit in an office and guess what women volleyball players need.
Through our partnership with Integrity, we’re measuring athletes across different ages, sizes, proportions, and body types. We’re studying how existing volleyball products fit, listening to what players like, and identifying the problems they have simply learned to tolerate.
That insight will shape every part of the development process:
- Women-specific measurements and size standards
- Volleyball-specific garment patterns
- Jersey and short silhouettes
- Waistband, rise, inseam, and coverage
- Fabric weight, stretch, breathability, and recovery
- Prototypes tested through real volleyball movement
- Athlete and coach feedback across multiple seasons
We aren’t beginning with an old pattern and trying to make it work.
We’re beginning with the athletes.
Integrity Volleyball Club won’t simply wear the finished line. Its athletes and coaches will help create it.
Better Fit Creates Greater Confidence
The best performance apparel disappears once competition begins.
It moves with the athlete, stays where it belongs, and allows her to focus entirely on the next serve, set, swing, block, or dig.
Fit also affects confidence. When athletes feel comfortable and secure in what they’re wearing, they can compete freely. They aren’t thinking about a jersey pulling in the wrong place or shorts that need to be adjusted between points.
A properly designed women’s uniform sends an important message: the athlete was considered from the beginning—not accommodated at the end.
Women shouldn’t have to choose between looking good, feeling comfortable, and performing at their highest level. Great sportswear should deliver all three.
Lexa Sport Is Entering Volleyball—and We’re Coming in Hot
Lexa Sport isn’t entering volleyball to offer another catalog of generic uniforms.
We’re coming to challenge how volleyball apparel is designed, how it fits, and how much better the experience can be for athletes, clubs, and families.
Our partnership with Integrity gives us something invaluable: a long-term relationship with real players and coaches who can help us measure, test, refine, and improve our products over multiple seasons.
That’s how meaningful innovation happens—not through marketing language, but through listening, testing, rebuilding, and refusing to accept “good enough.”
Women’s sports have never been smaller versions of men’s sports.
